Primary School Teacher Roxburgh Area School, over 40 years teaching experience!I have worked Spellcaster with a group of boys aged 7 to 9 years old for two terms. I have found it has helped them to identify long and short vowel sounds, consonants and blends. They have enjoyed gaining stars for the various skills they have mastered and they have enjoyed the games. I have found it very valuable as once they are familiar with the layout, they can work independently at their tasks. The fact that the programme locks is also useful as they can't get ahead of themselves. It is also easy to check the progress they have made. No one in the group has completed the programme and I believe there is probably enough in it to keep this age group busy for a year.

My name is Daniel, I'm 9 years old and I have been using your spelling program. I really like it because it teaches you tricks (like "magic e") which you use to spell words. I also like it because it gives you words just right for your level, and I've got quite hard words now because I've already completed Basic Words Level 5 and I'm now up to the Magic E Word List 1.
